Pacsafe® CX anti-theft convertible backpack

Can't really review yet. Bought this bag for a trip I'm taking in a month and if it works the way it should it's great because now I can take one purse/ pack instead of one of each. I always travel with a package bag but sometimes need a large one and a small one. Since I'm traveling lighter and lighter, this bag is a great problem solved. I know the security features are awesome. Saved me in a busy Barcelona street several years ago. The bags are spendy but worth it.

It's my first Pacsafe bag, and the choice of a convertible backpack was the best. It's a great backpack to use on Lisbon's bus and metro and the conversion to a shoulder bag is even better than I expect. My traveler's journal still fits even when I change it to a bag. The materials are great quality, and when it rains it protect all the stuff I bring.

Genuinely perfect for my needs. Going travelling for a couple of months and wanted a cross body bag small enough to get through airport security alongside a bigger backpack, and also some form of small backpack to put more things in for day trips. I wanted to minimise how many items I pack, and also wanter some level of safety to these bags while travelling, to keep my valuables close and safe. This hybrid ticks ALL those boxes, and has a surprising amount of space. It’s also a nice material and design, doesn’t look bulky or plastic-y at all. I hope it lasts me forever!

This is a good quality ,well made bag which I have tried out around town. The backpack is comfortable and easy to use but when you try to use it as a cross over bag it’s not so good as the fabric is a bit puffy and therefore doesn’t lie as flat as I would like.

I have only given it 4 stars as I was disappointed with the fresh mint colour which is not a vibrant green but more of a dull green not like the picture it would be useful if there was lock on the side ring to fix the back zip as well as a chain or pocket inside for keys

In summary perfect as a small backpack but not so good as a cross over bag

I've used this on many holidays as a lot of museums say 'no backpacks' and as this converts into a crossbody bag I've managed to use this in places that don't allow backpacks. I just convert it back to a backpack afterwards. The only quibble I have is that the straps can dig in when wearing it, but I understand that it wouldn't be able to convert if it had padded straps.
