I like this bag. Well organized. Perfect for a couple of days or a week. I definitely like the materials. Very durable. I like the big open center space and tiedown straps. If I could improve one thing, I might have one external zipper pocket on the front of the bag. I understand this would conflict with the safety aspects that you tout.
I use this for travelling abroad for short trips and longer (weeks) trips so I only need to take carry on and when also travelling on trains, busses and local transport its easy to travel around with. It is also great from a security perspective when on packed transport. I use this for longer trips also where I can wash clothes, but it easily fits enough for a week long holiday - packing sensibly. At 5.10 the pack fits me well and is easy to adjust depending on the weight if needed.
A quick side zip would be great, but I also have the V Tech pack also which I use daily when travelling.

This is the best carryon bag I've owned, so secure and easy to use, plenty of room for 2-5 days away or as extra carryon to supplement suitcase for longer trips away. I have even carried it in main suitacase leaving home to use as extra capacity for the purchases made to bring home.
